|The main move in day is Monday, March 10. Most of the two end halls will be moving in Sunday,
No equipment can be brought in prior to March 9 and left on the EY grounds. Check with Tom Van
Dusen (613-445-3407) or Mike McKenna (613-283-7861) if you have special circumstances.
Please adhere to the move-in times contained in this package. Failure to do so causes difficulty for
the Farm Show crew and other exhibitors.
All major exhibits must be delivered through doors in back of the Centre. We ask you to get in and
out with your load as quickly as possible so as not to hold up the move-in process more than
necessary. Big Rig storage will be available 10 minutes away at Rideau Carleton Raceway. Those with
10 x 10 displays requiring no forklift help can enter the Centre through the front doors.
We must be out of the building by 8 pm Thursday. Remember that we unload from back to front.
Depending on your booth location, don’t line up earlier than necessary in order to help reduce
congestion, expediting the process for all concerned.
The Ottawa Valley Seed Growers who sponsor the farm show are pleased to invite exhibitors to an
opening day reception at 5:15 pm, March 11, in meeting room A at the front of the building. Come
and enjoy a free drink and snacks. It isn’t dinner. For that, we suggest the economical buffet at
Rideau Carleton Raceway. Speaking of food, EY caterer Great Canadian Plates, will be adding a take-
away concession at the rear of the building for the show, in addition to its two main concessions at
the front, along with lemonade, ice cream, and nut stands.
There are four meeting rooms at the front. Rooms B, C and D will be used to display 4-H exhibits,
antiques and other attractions. Try to take the time to visit those displays. Meeting room A will be
used for pre-booked exhibitor gatherings. For the first time, this year livestock information booths
will be located in one of the two main entrance lobbies.
Internet services, electricity, sign erecting services, special food orders, drapes, carpets, tables and
chairs should be booked in advance through EY Centre suppliers. Details can be found at
OttawaFarmShow.com. Pre-book parking at the Centre at 613-822-8800 for in-and-out privileges
on the same three-day pass. Farm show management will cover parking fees on the Monday move-in,
while limited Sunday parking for exhibitors coming in is at the rear of the building.
Seed Growers staff will occupy Office 2 for the setup day and the three show days. That’s where you
check in upon arrival to collect exhibitor badges. For the first time, this year we will distribute large
laminated booth numbers on the main set-up day for prominent display in your booth. During the
show, the office phone number will be 613-903-4122.
One final note: The Farm Show is not involved in any way with a company based in Europe called
Event Fair that has contacted several of our exhibitors asking for information to update its index.
Without knowing anything more about this operation, we urge you not to respond.
