The 2007 Prestigious Pedigreed Seed Sale
The Ottawa Valley Seed Growers' Prestigious Pedigreed Seed Sale is an auction of bags of the highest quality seed available. Due to time constraints, purchased seed lots can no longer be donated back to be resold. Buyers who chose not to keep the seed were encouraged to donate their purchases to the food bank or the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

For the past several years, the show has featured an area artist specializing in rural scenes as part of the sale. Russell artist Greg Rokosh created a close, full-frontal view of a Highland cow specifically for the 2007 Prestigious Pedigreed Seed Sale. It was purchased by the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers Association with a donation from SECAN Association. The Canadian Co-Operative Wool Growers Limited donated a Sheepskin. Proceeds of the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers' Prestigious Pedigreed Seed Sale are donated to charity and primarily go to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. To date, over $70,000 has been raised for CHEO.

A cheque from the 2006 Seed Sale will be presented by the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers on the 2007
