Twelve exhibitors presented 51 animals for the evaluation of judges, Paul and Jennifer Mastine of Melbourne, Quebec. | Image 4918 Presentations Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Gerald Watson for hosting the twilight meeting and for his many years in the Hereford Industry. Gerald has been a Hereford breeder for 34 years (1970 to 2004) Carolyn Knox was presented a certificate of appreciation for her many years as the Secretary of the Pontiac Hereford Club Appreciation was shown to Stephen and Paula Hamilton and Laird and Mary Hamilton for hosting the Rolling Acres Farm and Pasture Tour. |
| Eastern Ontario / Western Quebec Hereford enthusiasts met on Saturday, July 24, 2004, at the home of Gerald Watson (Watview Farms, Shawville Quebec) for the Ottawa Valley Hereford Club's annual Twilight Meeting. The group toured nearby Rolling Acres Farms where Laird and Stephen Hamilton showed the group what they had done on their two farms to comply with Quebec's new environment regulations and their implementation of nutrient management practices. The group also visited part of the Hamilton Hereford herd. The group returned to Watview Farm for an evening of food and entertainment. Special thanks to M&R Feeds of Arnprior for supplying the meat products - Hereford of Course !! Gerald also had a number of Herefords in the pasture for the group to view. A delightful day was had by all who attended and the OVH club would like to thank Gerald for being a gracious, and accomodating host. |
