satisfaction with results of the 2003 Farm Show, indicating he might have suggestions for future improvements.

Past president Lynda McCuaig of Manotick Station thanked members for their support during her busy two-year stint which included organizing OVFS 75th anniversary celebrations, dealing with loss of the Lansdowne Sprung Structure and the livestock component it housed, and overseeing development of a new exhibit area on the Civic Centre concourse.

McCuaig reported that discussions are underway in an attempt to reach an agreement with Lansdowne which would bring livestock back in 2004 in the Horticultural Building. She indicated that, if it can be done, space will only permit livestock displays or sales... not both.

The OVSGA membership also confirmed Smith Falls' Mary Joynt as secretary-treasurer and Russell's Tom Van Dusen as manager of the OVFS.

In her financial report, Joynt indicated the 2003 Farm Show made a respectable profit... as have previous shows. A portion of the annual proceeds is used by the association to support agricultural research and other projects throughout Eastern Ontario and beyond.

In other business, the membership decided to mount an exhibit at the 2003 International Plowing Match to be held outside Carleton Place Sept. 17-21.
