?The 2010 Annual Meeting of the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers Association was held at the new Anderson Links Golf Club in Ottawa South on Sunday, July 25, 2010 in their brand new club house overlooking the beautiful golf course.

Since this was not an election year for the Board of Directors, most of the discussions were related to the 2012 relocation of the association's major project, the Ottawa Valley Farm Show.  Following the meeting, everyone enjoyed an excellent brunch and friendly conversation.
President Jim Arbuckle welcomed the Seed Growers

General Manager Tom Van Dusen
John, Joynt (standing left), Chairman of the Relocation Committee, reported that with the coming changes to Landsdowne Park, the 2012 Farm Show would have to be held in a new location.  The Seed Growers had hired consultant Roy Carver (standing right), a former Farm Show manager, to investigate other venues from Kingston to Ottawa, including some fairgrounds.  After extensive research, Roy reported to the meeting that for an indoor show held in March, the only practical alternative would the proposed new Capital Exhibition Centre at Ottawa International Airport that is to be built by Shenkman Corporation. The new trade show centre is scheduled to be completed early in 2012, replacing commercial show space lost through redevelopment of Lansdowne Park.  The proposed date for the 2012 Farm Show is March 12-15, 2012.
